Method One: is WordPress reset Password input page; this method is incredibly easy to reset your password. You can simply access the login screen and click the “Forgot your password” link.By clicking on forgot your password, you will be taken to a password reset page where you can enter your username or email address to restore the password in WordPress reset password input page. Then the WordPress system sends a password to reset link to the email address associated with that account. However those users who do not have access to the email address, they cannot reset their password. In such cases, you must go for the Method two to reset your WordPress password directly from the database.The easiest way to do this is to get help from phpMyAdmin.

Method 2: Reset your WordPress password via phpMyAdmin this method you must first log in to your cPanel dashboard of your hosting account. Then, you need to click the phpMyAdmin icon below the database section.

This program will launch phpMyAdmin in which you need to select your WordPress database from the left to access and retrieve your password in WordPress like the picture below.

After clicking on the database, you will see a list of tables in the WordPress database. Now you have to look up {table-prefix-users} for user information in this list. Click the “Browse” option to edit the user database tables.

Note: the table name in your WordPress database may include a different preview of the image. {Table Prefix-users} Once clicked on the browse button, you will be redirected to the User information page and you will see the row of your WordPress table. Click on edit button where you want to reset the Password in WordPress.

PhpMyAdmin now shows your form with all the fields of user info.Now you have to clear the User-Pass field value and replace it with your new word. Under function column, select MD5 from the drop-down menu and click the Go button at the bottom right of the box at the end. To reset your WordPress password.

Your password is encrypted using the MD5 method and then stored in the database.Congratulations! You have successfully reset your password to WordPress using phpMyAdmin. You can now log in with a new password.Here’s the question comes that why we used the MD5 method for encryption in the function column?Because in an older version, WordPress used MD5 to encrypt passwords. WordPress 2.5 started using more powerful cryptographic technologies. However, WordPress still recognizes MD5 and can be restored with the help of compatible. Then, upon logging in, using a password string as an MD5, WordPress recognizes the string and uses the newer encryption algorithms to change the string to the new method.
